SPIN FM (CPIN 101.5) is a fresh R&B, motown, soul, funk, disco, and early hip-hop station filling a long empty gap in Toronto’s radio scene. SPIN FM is an oldies station that covers everything from the 60s, 70s, and 80s that classic rock stations have forgotten. SPIN FM is fun, upbeat, and funky so you can groove while on the move.
SPIN FM is a radio station pitch created by myself and Katherine Oliveira that features a full 2 hours of live on air broadcast. “All the tunes you’ve been missing from the 60s, 70s, and 80s” |
Campus Radio Shows
Uninformed was a weekly 1hr political talkshow on SpiritLive Radio, created and hosted by myself and Ben McCrimmon; two self-proclaimed political pundits ranting about the week's sociopolitical happenings. With a weekly "Informed" guest, we really dug deep into the garbage heap that is the American (and sometimes Canadian) political landscape. From fake news to Facebook, taxes to Texas, this show was bigger news than Donald Trump drunk at a beauty pageant.
Uninformed hosted one to three guests per week for debate and discussion on topics culturally relevant to Ryerson campus life. For this show I prepared one schedule, topic, and research summary per week. In addition, I managed Uninformed's social media, and designed all of the visual content on Uninformed's pages. |
Deja Jams was a 1hr music and talk show on SpiritLive Radio hosted and programmed by myself, Brendan Millar, Katherine Oliveira, and Michal Heuston. Deja Jams was a show full of songs that make you go "aummmm, hmmm, and sometimes OH! ... What's that song? You know the one! The one from the thing!! YEAH, that one"!
For this show I prepared a playlist of songs that fit our carefully chosen list of criteria, and the week's theme. I researched movies, video games, and television shows that those songs have featured in, in order to explain where the listeners might recognize the songs from. This show was a lot less content-heavy than Uninformed, and a lot more cheeky. I managed Deja Jam's social media and designed the show's stingers and graphics for three seasons. In November 2017, we were contacted by a representative from Paramount Pictures to give away tickets on a Deja Jams Contest, and have been contacted by weekly listeners from as far as Australia. |
