Winterbourne is a horror anthology web-series created for my Ryerson Univeristy Bachelor of Arts practical thesis project (practicum). This series has an extended team of 9 diverse women, and a crew of 7. Winterbourne's 12 episodes amount to almost an hour run time. This series follows the surreal experiences of the residents of the secluded and mysterious town, Winterbourne. Each 2-7 minute episode focuses on a different character and the macabre events they encounter. This dark series has a loose overarching narrative with recurring motifs and characters stringing each episode together to reflect themes of paranoia and fear of retribution. Winterbourne leaves the viewer feeling unsettled and inexplicably anxious at every turn.

co-producing winterbourneWinterbourne's development began in January 2017 when Director Michal Heuston pitched the series for development. Although the role of Audio Technical Lead was filled, I joined the team as a Producer, Marketing Lead, and Audio Tech. The decision to take on roles outside of my main area of interest was based on the quality of work the already committed team had shown me, the prospect of an all femme/queer crew, and the merit of the pitch itself.

Winterbourne's Marketing Campaign began with our Facebook page, Instagram, and Twitter. I established a set of images to be posted on each, and some starter content, including "Meet the Team". Shortly after, we launched our Indiegogo campaign. Marketing for this campaign was extremely successful as we reached 109% of our funding goal, totaling at $8,243. Through marketing and promotions, Winterbourne gained a sponsorship deal with Toronto Indie Horror Fest 2017 where we showcased our three VR episodes.
